We are pleased to launch Autism and Scouting Radio with the hope that our broadcasts will foster open communication among scouting communities. We also hope to provide information and education that will benefit scouts on the Autism Spectrum, a better understanding of the needs of Scouts on the Autism Spectrum and stories of inspiration directly from the scouts themselves.

Autism Empowerment and the Autism and Scouting program supports the National Bullying Prevention Center, Unity Day by presenting tips on how to Stop Bullying in your Unit.

Managing Scouts in Different Units
Having one child on the Autism Spectrum or with Special Needs can be hard enough to manage meetings, campouts and other events, then add in a second or third all on the Spectrum or with Special Needs. We will have two parents coming on to talk about how they do it.

Parades, Tips on helps scouts outAutism and Scouting unique content. Parades are typically is to celebrate something of importance and many times Scouting Units take part. For Scouts on the Autism Spectrum, it can be stressful time because of the waiting, noise, people, smells and other sensory issues. Learn how to work with scouts on the Autism Spectrum when it comes to Parades.

Jennifer Cook-O'Toole the Author of Apserkids collection of books will be coming back to Autism and Scouting to talk about how to use the scouts Special Interest to help engage your scouts. This will be a fun time and you will not want to miss this one.
